A friend was throwing a baby shower and didn't want the traditional baby cookies of a rocking horse, rattle, baby foot, crib, etc. She said the momma to be loved Taz from the Looney Toones and Paris and wanted to do something along those lines. So a little brainstorming, searching the net and doodling I thought how cute would it be to have the Eiffel Tower in the background and Taz ripping through Paris. Sounded great...now can I get this to a cookie? Sometimes I wonder if my mind and thoughts are more powerful than what I can actually do on a cookie. But that is the fun of it all because seeing it all come together is so wonderful.
So I thought I would show step by step on how I did the background. Flooded the lower part green for grass/hills and then took a piece of cardboard and cut a curve out for a airbrushing some hills. I love the way it gave the flat green surface some depth. Then I flooded the sky and while wet added some clouds. Then piped the Eiffel Tower. Very tedious I must say but I would say Taz was more of a pain in the butt! HAHA Isn't he like that on the cartoon?....a big pain in the butt? Well I can attest to it. After adding all the small details I loved the way they came out.
I must say character cookies are a bit of a challenge for me. I dont know what it is...maybe trying to get them to look exact I am not sure. But who doesn't love a good challenge right? Its good for US ALL!!
I have never been to Paris but it is on my list when I can afford to travel outside of the US. I cannot wait...
I could not forget to add some heart candies since Paris is the city of LOVE right?
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Thanks for reading!!! ♥
